The spring handles allow the instrument to be opened to the desired amount and the screw mechanism locks it in place. The wider external portion allows the operator to examine the lower rectum and anus.

The probe tip is a blunt end to avoid damaging tissue. The malleable sterling silver handle allows for the probe to navigate more easily in the anal cavity.

Barr Fistula Probe double-ended Barr Fistula Probe features a probe at both ends to examine any anal or anorectal fistulas. The probe ends are made very thin to be able to move easily through fistulas of varying sizes.
